Governing council
Avenues College Governing Council works with our Principal to help set and monitor the direction of our school.
Meetings are held twice each term to discuss the school’s direction.
The Annual General Meeting is held during term 1 of each year.
Parents, students, community members and staff can be part of our Governing Council or various sub-committees.
The Governing Council is responsible for:
- approving local policies
- approving and reviewing budgets
- monitoring and reviewing the site improvement plan
- consulting with the school community to ensure all views are included
Governing Council Subcommittees
The following sub-committees report to the Governing Council:
- Facilities
- Uniform
- Fundraising
- Strategic Directions (including Canteen, OSHC)
