About our school
Our school proudly stands on the traditional lands of the Kaurna people, and we pay our respect to their spiritual relationship with their country as the first educators. We also acknowledge the Kaurna people as the custodians of the Adelaide region and that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still as important to the living Kaurna people today.

Our facilities
Facilities
Originally built in the 1960’s, many of our school facilities have been upgraded and improved over the years.
We have an advanced industrial kitchen, well-appointed technology workshops and digital suites, numerous scientific laboratories, a gymnasium, sports fields and sports courts, a state-of-the-art music performance suite including a recording studio and instrumental practice rooms, and multipurpose Resource Centre.
As a Birth to Year 12 school, we have a purpose-built preschool which is connected to Avenues College Children’s Centre. Primary years students have the opportunity to access all of the specialised learning areas of the College.
From 2025 our secondary classrooms will be renewed into innovated teaching spaces to support 21st century learning.
Jo - “I enjoyed my time at Avenues College. My teachers were really helpful and were always there to answer my questions. I loved that my little brother was at the same school as me, even my little sister who is in the Preschool." Felicity - "As a parent, I have received amazing support relating to my child's learning. The school listened to my questions and tailored individual learning programs to support my child's success.".
